Finding a plastics part manufacturer

Monday, April 26th, 2010

With the plastics part manufacturer moving away from traditional methods to more advanced methods such as injection molding in the preparation of plastic parts, efficiency has been greatly improved, thanks to use of technology to create plastic prototypes in no time that can be approved setting the manufacturing process (often in wholesale quantities) in motion.

Plastic parts are used for a number of purposes. For one, plastic boxes storage have been become part and parcel of our lives due to the advantage of providing safety to its consumers as compared to any product made before.

Not only have plastics contributed to making consumers’ lives better but also to businesses that need containers to store their products safely and according to particular specifications that have been requested by the business itself.

Some of the industries that have embraced the use of plastics range from Food Packaging, sports and diecast car displays, medical, jewelry, cosmetics and other retail purposes as well. Most of these manufacturing units also create their own consumer products such as the handy cord holder that is used to prevent extension cords from getting entangled.

If you are a business customer and have tight deadlines, not only will these manufacturing units complete the production on time but also ship the materials as well in working seamlessly with the supply chain process of the company.

So if you are looking for a plastics part manufacturing unit, you won’t have to look very far in order to find a unit that will support your company’s needs.

Customer Support Services for Bed and Breakfast Owners

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Running a bed and breakfast or country inn is a full-time endeavor, leaving little time for answering phones and taking reservations. A qualified call answering service company can provide your business with well-trained, professional agents who are able to offer assistance to potential clients. Here are two of the many benefits that come with hiring an answering and call center service for your bed and breakfast or country inn:

No more missed calls. When it comes to making reservations, many people don’t like leaving messages. Instead of missing these important phone calls, a call center receptionist can provide your callers with immediate solutions including taking reservations over the phone and online. All of your calls will be answered live using the script that you provide. For example, “Thank you for calling the Sunset Inn, how I can I help you?”

Problem solving. A call center receptionist is trained to handle any issue that may arise. As your virtual assistant, receptionists can address the needs and concerns of each caller, resulting in fewer calls to return. A professional small business answering service can also provide quality customer service 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Eco-friendly plastics

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

It is important to purchase plastic that is both safe for humans and the environment if you are purchasing plastic items such as ball qube display cases or plastic food containers. There are seven different types of plastics classified by their resin identification code. The following is a brief look at the three types of plastics that are safe to buy.

Plastics number two, four and five are all safe to use. These three plastics are recyclable and they do not transmit chemicals into your food. Number two — high density polyethylene (HDPE) — is very commonly accepted by municipal recycling programs, meaning it will be easier to recycle this type of plastic. Although also recyclable, plastics number four and five are not commonly accepted by most recycling programs. This means you might have a more difficult time finding a place to recycle these plastics. From plastic boxes for storage to food containers, make sure you purchase the three plastics that are most healthy for you and the environment.

Professional customer support solution

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Quality customer service is at the core of any successful business. So if you’re planning to outsource a customer support solution for your business, make sure that you select a company that offers professional and courteous representatives who demonstrate outstanding communication skills. For example, companies such as Map Communications focus on hiring, training and retaining employees that not only display courteous communication skills but also demonstrate an enthusiastic attitude.

In today’s economy, businesses deal with the challenging task of improving revenues and customer care objectives without increasing costs. However, you can’t afford an answering service company that makes a bad first impression. Your clients deserve customer service representatives that are always professional and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

HDPE and PET recycling rates rise

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

The number of high density polyethylene and PET bottles recycled continued to grow in 2008, along with the HDPE and PET recycling rates, reports Plastic News.com. According to the article, the main reason for the increase was because both sales of virgin HDPE and PET resins decreased in 2008.

HDPE plastic containers resin sales dropped 8.6 percent, accounting for 305 million pounds, and PET resin sales dropped 5.6 percent, accounting for 317 million pounds. The recycling rate is measured by dividing the number of pounds recycled by the number of pounds sold.

In addition, the all-bottle recycling rate, which increased from 24 percent to 27 percent in 2008, would have moved up slightly to 25.2 percent. Both PET and HDPE account for 99.1 percent of all clear plastic containers that are recycled.

Missouri county re-opens swine flu call center

Monday, October 12th, 2009

In the fight against the H1N1 virus (otherwise known as the swine flu), many local health agencies are turning to medical call center companies to help them give out information and answer people’s concerns about the dangerous strain of influenza. One example is in Springfield, Missouri, where the Springfield-Greene County Health Department recently reopened its call center to handle questions about swine flu.

“Most of the questions that we’ve been getting are where people can get the H1N1 vaccine and where they can get the seasonal flu vaccine,” county health spokesperson Jaci McReynolds told OzarksFirst.com. “We’ve also received a number of other questions about a variety of issues that have to do with seasonal flu.”

The answering service is available between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Operators are telling callers about the first shipment of the H1N1 nasal spray vaccine and how the elderly and children are receiving doses from the first shipment before the general population.

National Do Not Call Registry

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

For many companies that depend on their call center solution of choice to help locate and attract new customers or clients, the National Do Not Call Registry has impacted their business. Since 2003, this government-run registry has been recording the numbers of citizens who don’t want to receive unsolicited phone calls offering them products or services. The National Registry was created due to a new law that was enacted earlier that year, the Do-Not-Call Implementation Act of 2003.

The purpose of any outbound or inbound answering service is to facilitate communication between the business and current or potential customers. Although the National Do Not Call Registry might seem on the surface like a reduction in possible sale leads, it actually saves companies’ call center services time by ensuring there are at least a few less numbers that they contact where the residents have absolutely no interest in speaking to them.

Look to reduce overhead, not payroll costs, when trimming a call center budget

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

When looking to reduce costs, many times an owner of an outsourced call center will immediate look at reducing labor costs as the first solution. And while this might be a short-term fix, the reality is that it also creates many inequities and additional work for the remaining staff that can seriously hamper the quality of service provided.

Owners and operators of answering services need to be aware that their most important selling point is the high level of customer service they can provide to customers. This is especially true with a physicians answering service, where poor customer service can lead to potential harmful errors in communicating important information between patients and doctors.

Instead, it’s wise to look at reducing overhead instead of labor costs. Almost every company has overhead that could be trimmed. While some telephone answering service employees might complain about losing certain perks, a good manager can explain to them that these cuts are necessary to maintain the current staffing size and payroll.

Big 3 Precision Products showcase blow molding machine at trade show

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

At the NPE 2009 trade show in Chicago, blow molding tooling specialist Big 3 Precision Products Inc. launched its first blow molding machine. The company says that no other plastic manufacturer has created a machine with such a high output per square foot of floor space.

Making the move into becoming a machine manufacturer for the plastics injection molding industry is a big step for Big 3 Precision Products. However, sales manager Mark J. Abramo said that the company is going to maintain its focus on being a mold-building company, with that part of its business being a top priority moving forward.

At the show floor, Big 3 Precision Products used the space to showcase the product’s ability to produce custom wholesale plastic containers in a brief period of time. At the show, the machine produced a 4-ounce Boston round container of high density polyethylene on 22-cavity tooling. The machine showcased was not built for a particular client, and has a price tag of $625,000.
